Service & Refund Terms

Notice. This page is provided for informational purposes and covers Şakir Ortataş's software development and consulting services. Legally binding final agreements are signed mutually for each project.
General Principles
Because software development and architecture consulting require a dedicated investment of labor and time for each individual or company, refunds are subject to specific rules.
Cancellation Before Development
If you cancel before the project kickoff meeting and before any code is written, the remaining upfront payment is refunded within 5 business days, after deducting any discovery or research costs incurred up to that point.
Cancellation During Development
For cancellations after development has started, the following are taken into account:
- The labor value of the sprints and modules completed up to that point
- Third-party license, server and external service costs purchased for the project
- Whether the completed source code has been delivered to the client
Delivered Projects
No refunds are issued for software deliverables that have been reviewed and approved by the client and taken live. Any defects are fixed free of charge within the agreed warranty and maintenance period.
How to Apply
Cancellation and refund requests must be submitted in writing by email, together with the project details and the reason. All requests are reviewed and answered within 2 business days.
